Government Affairs

  • Provide experienced, effective representation on legislative and regulatory issues to promote crop insurance as a viable business in the future.
  • Develop and advance federal policies that maintain and strengthen the Federal Crop Insurance Program
  • Facilitate strong working relations between members, key Congressional contacts, and other stakeholders in the Federal Crop Insurance Program including AIPs.
  • Monitor legislation and rulemaking to keep members informed on changes in crop insurance.

CIPA Membership Meetings

  • Develop policies from an agent perspective through committee structure and voting process

  • Meet Members, Associate Members, Allied Members, and Friends from all regions of the country
  • Gain a greater understanding of issues that will impact your business
  • Meet and interact with elected officials and RMA personnel who are critical to the program.

Member Engagement

  • Participation among CIPA members is needed and strongly encouraged
  • Attend meetings and become informed on important issues 
  • Serve on committees to bring perspective and insight as we develop policy and direction for the organization
